The final report from this initial study has been released. It is available for download below.
Verde Village Property Owners Association (VVPOA), through an award of a Yavapai County, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) water and sewer funded grant has hired a licensed engineering firm with the experience and expertise (HDR) to provide the VVPOA with a comprehensive study of the feasibility of providing 1) wastewater collection, 2) treatment, and 3) reclaimed water reuse.
The intent of this study is to identify and evaluate options for establishing wastewater collection infrastructure, wastewater treatment options that could include utilizing existing or new facilities, and the sustainable reuse of reclaimed water reuse.
This study can provide necessary information to allow the Verde Village and its partners the most feasible wastewater treatment plan in moving forward with next steps for capital improvements.
At this time no further actions are planned. The report lays out some possible next steps which can be reviewed with advisors Mark Holmes, Professional Arizona Geologist and Water Resource Manager, and Selena Pao, Friends of the Verde River. The VVCC provides this information so that interested individuals may take up this cause if desired. The VVCC Board is not pursuing any option.
