Verde Village volunteers met at the Hillside Church, Cottonwood, on November 17, with sticks, trash bags and safety vests and braved chilly early morning weather to pick up trash along Highway 260.
Our duck pond, (originally “Sunset Lake”) is, and should be, a focal point of the Verde Villages. It is an important part of our neighborhood and it draws a fair amount of attention from those visiting, looking to own or rent a home in the area, and local fishermen trying to catch “the big one.” We are finally in a position to do something about its condition.
